Many people who live in East Gippsland, think it is the best region in Australia.

Change is inevitable. The decision which residents need to make is whether the change is initiated by politicians and bureaucrats or whether the change is the result of ideas flowing from the community and driven by the community. Politicians and bureaucrats do not have a mortgage on ideas and in fact often had bad ideas due to their relative isolation from the real communities or because of political expediency.

Many people have good ideas, but are not in a position to have their voice heard or do not know how to promote their ideas.

When a suggestion is floated, too many people immediately adopt a negative position in a knee jerk reaction because they feel threatened by change.
